Celebrating the Gift of Life Through Sport

The Welsh Transplant Team brings together transplant recipients, living donors and supporters from across Wales to take part in the British Transplant Games.

The Games celebrate the life-changing impact of organ donation, honour donors and their families, and showcase the strength and resilience of the transplant community.

Our team has enjoyed many sporting successes over the years, winning medals across events including swimming, athletics and cycling. Several members have also represented Great Britain at the World Transplant Games.

But the Games are about more than competition. They provide an opportunity to celebrate recovery, friendship, community and the gift of life.

Get Involved

We welcome transplant recipients and living donors of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or trying a sport for the first time, there’s a place for you on the team.

We also run multi-sports taster days across Wales, giving transplant recipients and living donors the opportunity to try different activities in a friendly and supportive environment.
