Date: 14 September 2026 | By: paul

📢 Gorseinon Hospital – Have your say

Swansea Bay University Health Board is asking local people for their views on the future role of Gorseinon Hospital.

The current public engagement includes a proposal to permanently transfer 30 inpatient beds from Gorseinon Hospital to Singleton Hospital.

The Health Board is also asking an important question:

💬 What community health services would you like to see provided at Gorseinon Hospital in the future?

The engagement runs from Monday 7 September to Monday 26 October 2026.

If you live locally, use or have used Gorseinon Hospital, support someone who does, or have views about the future of local health services, this is an opportunity to share your experience, concerns, ideas and views directly with the Health Board.

You can find the full information about the proposals, including the different ways to take part, on the Swansea Bay University Health Board website:

You can also share your views with Llais, the independent citizens' voice body for health and social care in Wales.

Please share this with friends, family, carers and others in the local community so that people who may be affected have the opportunity to take part.
